The Connecticut State Department of Educationís Nutrition Policies and Guidance for the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) consists of five guides that assist adult day care centers with planning meals to meet CACFP requirements. These guides provide comprehensive information on a variety of menu planning topics, including CACFP meal pattern requirements, avoiding common menu problems, nutrition guidance, and accommodating special dietary needs. They can be accessed on the Web pages below, which also include related forms, handouts, operational memoranda, and other resources.

CACFP adult centers should use Nutrition Policies and Guidance as the definitive source for information on complying with all federal and state nutrition requirements for the CACFP.
