This data portal provides information on key performance measures that make up the Next Generation Accountability System, as well as dozens of other topics, including school finance, free and reduced eligibility, and school enrollment. Information can be sorted, filtered, and compared across schools and districts, and across racial, ethnic, and gender lines.

Homeless Liaisons
The Homeless Liaison is responsible for the identification, school enrollment, attendance, and opportunities for academic success (including determining homeless children as being eligible for free meals) of students in homeless situations. Some of these activities may be accomplished by the liaison, while others are accomplished by coordinating the efforts of other staff such as school nutrition personnel, including the district’s determining officials. Determining officials must work closely with the homeless liaison to ensure that all students designated as homeless are provided meals free of charge.

English Learners
Sponsors of the school nutrition programs are responsible for ensuring meaningful program access for those with limited English proficiency (LEP). LEP is defined as individuals who have limited ability to read, speak, write, or understand English. This guidance is outlined in FNS Instruction 113-1: Civil Rights Compliance and Enforcement.
