The Department of Education is the Connecticut state agency charged with implementing the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA) for programs that support elementary and secondary education. Funds will be used to improve student achievement and help close the achievement gap through teacher quality, assessment, standards, school improvements and data systems. The Department is also responsible for the disbursement of ARRA State Fiscal Stabilization funds and the United States Department of Agriculture Equipment Assistance grant.
