{RSCO Lottery Options Hartford Region Open Choice Program (Grades PK4–12) Hartford residents (PK4–10) attend a suburban, non-magnet district school. Suburban residents (K–12) attend a Hartford district school. Magnet Schools (Grades PK3–12) Managed by: Bloomfield Public Schools, CREC, East Hartford Public Schools, Goodwin College, Hartford Public Schools Additional Choice Options (Separate Application) Technical & Agriscience Education (Grades 9–12): CT Technical High Schools, Suffield Regional Agriscience Center Suffield Regional Agriscience Center }

Eligibility and Admissions

Connecticut resident students eligible to attend a public school may apply to the RSCO lottery.

Interdistrict magnet schools offer opportunities for PK3 (children who will be 3 years old by December 31 of the school year for which parent/guardian applies) through grade 12. Many schools and programs have before and after school care available. Please check with schools that interest you regarding extended day and extended year opportunities.

The Hartford Region Open Choice Program is an option for children entering PK4 (children who will be 4 years old by December 31 of the school year for which parent/guardian applies) through grade 10 (for Hartford residents) or grade 12 (for non-Hartford residents).

In addition Hartford students may apply to attend a suburban, non-magnet public school.  Suburban students may apply to attend a Hartford public school.
